Sew Together Bags :-)

IMG_20141110_090316

First I made one for myself, in early November 2014

Next I made one for dear daughter 1, and I planned to give both my girls one for Christmas.
Well - the best laid plans and all that - dear daughter 1 got one on a regular Sunday,
and Dear Daughter 2 got one during Christmas vacation :-)

They both got bags from the same strips of fabric - it is only the light  - lamp light / day light - that makes the colours look very different.
The sharp eye will see that I have arranged the strips a little different and that one bag has purple zippers and the other has white zippers.

I am very serious about using from what I have here in Quilt Corner in 2015, and a bit of variation is good!
So far I have made 4 of these bags, no zippers bought :-)

Here is Dear Husband's bag, with male colours and a more masculine feel to it with the Japanese homespun fabrics.

He uses his bag daily, for all his ear plugs, computer cords, flash drives and such, and he wishes for me to make him one more - and I will - Love That Guy :-)

  3. What beautiful bags! I bought the pattern but have not made them yet. My fabric is all boxed up for our move, so it will be a little while before I can get to making them. You have inspired me.

  6. Your bags are wonderful, Hanne!

I would love to make one but I'm terrified to even try anything that has zippers. I will just have to admire yours!
