One of those wonderful days in life!

P1010434

How to describe Anni Downs, the wonderful designer of Hatched and Patched?
Very skilled designer who makes all her own models herself, smiling, generous, fun. Her models are a feast for the eyes and an inspiration to my hands, and her lovely appearance just adds to the fun.

I have loved Anni’s designs for years – they are my kind of primitive – whimsical with style – and the most wonderful detailed stitcheries.
I have made dozens of her miniature stitcheries over many years, to decorate all kinds of things. Her patterns are so well made, and all of the designs being sold with pre-printed fabric also has a paper copy of the design so it can easily be made again. Love it!

Yesterday I was so lucky to attend Anni’s class in Oslo.
This new table runner has both applique and stitcheries, and we were guided step by step through the different stages.

How wonderful for you. She is such a delightful person. I recognise many of the patterns that I own (and many not made) that are in my stash!

The talent just seems to ooze so effortlessly out of Anni, doesn't it? What a beautiful way to spend a day with friends. So happy you were able to attend. We'll be expecting lots more "Anni" projects from you and May in the near future!
