Finally a finish–and a little of this & that

P1070370A finish, a finish :-)

It has been said that necessity is the mother of invention, and I claim that searching for the perfect fabric instead of going for invention, is often  the mother of WISPs ( work in slow progress) in my Quilt Corner……
I did actually finish the stitchery a year ago ( me think ), but could not find the perfect fabric for the border, and voila, a WISP was born.
Oh well, I thought this week, suck it up princess, and get it done ;-)
A piece of this year’s new Moda Christmas fabric, some meandering on the sewing machine, and now the table topper will decorate my kitchen table this season, for my eye pleasure :-)
The pattern is Christmas Tresures Wreath, by Rosalie Quinlan, in case you wonder.

I have been sewing with Bonnie this evening, watching her webcam – it was so fun, and the binding on the table topper was easily done, as well as some work on my  next secret project.

As I have told you before, this is the secret sewing season, and Miss Cat is watching over the treasures in the Quilt Corner with her fur and her life!

P1070363I Need to earn myself another thimble in the Craft Olympic, and I have dug out an embroidery project from a couple years back.
It has been great to do between machine work, and in the early mornings.
I have a deadline in the upcoming week too, and I am looking forward to show you what I have been working on.

P1070361Look what DD2 made for us for lunch on Friday – American pancakes with warm berries – yummy!

  2. I have just finished stitching that wreath and have been wondering what to do with it. I love yours and you have inspired me now. Your pussy cat is sooo cute! So is your lovely DD. Daughters are good value I reckon ( having 2 adult ones myself). I love the roosters. What pattern is that ? Lots of lovely things you have made. Angel hugs
