May Britt, Britt, Bjørg, Irene and I had a lovely day together today :-)
First we visited Lappemakeriet, and here May Britt is taking a dive in the candy basket. Candies are like Fat 8's.
Next we visited Kathrines Quilte Stue.
The 2 shops have different styles, and that is good, so there is something for all tastes.
Then we visited Stoff og Stil, which is kind of like the Canadian Fabricland -
reasonably priced fabrics for clothes, home decoration and such.
The selection of quilt fabrics are small.
They do have cheap zippers and buttons though.
After Stoff og Stil, the others went to Ikea, and I went home to have a lovely dinner with my family, cooked by DD1, who is home on vacation.
Living only 10 minutes from Ikea, it was not on my to do list today.
Thanks for a fun day everyone!
These are my treasures from the shopping -
the 4 top fabric pieces and the Sue Daley pattern from Lappemakeriet,
the bottom 3 pieces from Kathrines Quilte Stue.
The buttons and stitch markers are from Stoff og Stil.
For this week I will focus on 2 projects - Scandinavian Christmas + secret project :-)
It's not about how much time you spend together;
it's what you do with the time you do spend together.
Hanne

ReplyDeleteOh how I envy your shopping tour with friends! We don't have quilt shops here really, just small selections of quilting fabrics in "normal" fabric shops.
ReplyDeleteMine hender var "in that candy basket" dagen før, altså søndag mellom 1530 og 1600. Hører dere hadde sett navnet mitt i gjesteboken.
