Lost in action…….

P1000826It has been so busy in the Quilt Corner!

I am not free to show you all that has been going on (yet), as I have been doing a lot of work for others since returning from Canada / USA.

The first finish I can show you is this photo album cover, made for the confirmand's maternal grandmother, my aunt.
She had put together a lot of photos from Elise's life, and I had the honour of making the cover of the album, like I did her brother's album 3 years back :-)

P1060384The confirmation was in a wonderful old wooden church,

and most of the females wore traditional dresses.

My cousin has the male costume matching mine. It was a blustery day, and it was nice to wear wool :-)

P1060407P1060409I think Miss Cat has liked the activity in the Quilt Corner too.
Sometimes she claims more than her fair share of the space, but who can move her when she is sleeping like that ??

P1060391Spending time with fellow quilters are always nice!
At Lappemakeriet there is always inspiration :-)

Unni's lovely Dresden Plates.

P1060389A lovely quilt on the wall

Liv's hexagon quilt is absolutely breath taking!

P1060411

The lovely light we are having these days, the smell of spring and an early Lily of the Valley also gives inspiration :-)

P1060412

In between a lot of machine work I have been able to do 3 more stitcheries for Life Is Beautiful + a snowflake for Scandinavian Christmas.

It is good to be back blogging :-)

  2. What a beautiful album cover! Your traditional costumes are lovely. Here, at last, we have some sun too - it just lifts everyone's spirits!!

  3. Your dresses are beautiful! Our national dresses look more historical and are not worn very often. Your DD1's dress looks like the ones in Lapland, but a little different.

  4. En smart ide til gave. Må nok stjele denne.

Du var så fin i kystdrakten din.

    Ønsker deg en fin sommer.

  5. Your traditional clothes look absolutely beautiful. It is nice to see traditions continuing esp in the younger generation.
