Scandinavian Christmas progress

P1050571I am enjoying myself, and I have not given up :-)
I am done with the applique in block #1, and I have picked fabrics to do the filler blocks on the right edge.

This roll of beautiful red fabrics I bought from Quiltegården 3 years back, as part of a quilt kit (which I have not yet started……..)
Well - 2012 is my Simplify & Enjoy year, and these fabrics looks to good to be stored in a box, don't you think ?
If I ever make the quilt they were intended for, I would like to do it in another colour anyway :-)

Miss Cat really enjoys it when I am doing hand work - it must be the calm work and tidy sewing table.
She took the task of guarding my applique needles very serious today :-)

Any day spent sewing, is a good day.

  5. I just caught up with the last half dozen posts! I love the Scandinavian Christmas block. Miss Cat is just so photogenic. Isn't it nice how they always pick some fabric or a quilt to cuddle up on?
