Another care quilt done - and both are delivered now.
I made a gift for my favourite aunt - a keeper for knitting needles and crochet needles.
One can off course keep other things in it too, like hair brushes or painting brushes.
Miss Cat and I watched a nature program on TV last night.
She could figure out where all the bird sounds came from, but the birds did not smell a thing and could not be caught………..weird………. :-)

This is a Block Of the Month. It was kits. I have changed the border and the binding.
It was to little border fabrics in the kit. I do not buy BOM kits from abroad anymore.
I used to dislike bindings, but I don't think I do anymore, as a binding in progress is a quilt very close to done!
Merete has done the machine quilting. It is lovely!

Easter eggs, filled with sweets and wooden - both my favourites in their own way :-)
The lovely table cloth was embroidered by my grandmother on my mother's side, who died a long time before I was born.
It is embroidered on a piece of cotton fabric which is also darned in several places. Maybe it is a piece of a feedsack ?
Even if the small table cloth is both darned and rust stained it is a real treasure!
Here is my latest finish - a care quilt.
10 of the 24 blocks are blocks I got as a gift many years ago, and now I have added the last 14, to make this in to a nice care quilt.
It is a piece of polar fleece with teddy bears on the back, so it will be nice and cuddly for a child :-)
Miss Cat got the honour of paw approving this quilt before it is washed.
I always wash my care quilts before giving them away.
Now I have only 7 more star block to go !
I have started packing for my trip next week, and the 7 stars are going with me.

Last night we enjoyed a bottle of very good red wine - a gift from a dear friend :-)
Hand sewing, a good film on screen, wine and a good friend - it is like heaven on earth!
This morning the big question was: What happened to spring !?!?
Snow was coming down in big amounts.
Luckily the snow has stopped now an the melting can continue.
Weather or no weather, sewing is on our schedule :-)
