Curious anyone ??

Please  forgive me for jumping lightly over the last week and a half and go directly to the Norwegian Quilt Association's yearly meeting, which is THE quilt happening in Norway every year :-)

Location: Brunstad Conference Centre
Arriving: Yesterday afternoon
Who is here: Old friends and new friends from all over the country
Shops present: Several, amongst them my 3 favourite shops Quiltegården, Lappemakeriet and Quiltefryd.

It has been a busy, happy, smiling day, and here you have some impressions from Quiltegården's area:

Absolutely no affiliation - just one of my favourites shops,  and I was so lucky to be there before they opened and could take good photos :-)
If you give them a call they will happily help you out with patterns and fabric on all the above quilts :-)

The famous Japanese designer Yoko Saito was giving a speech on her quilting life this evening.

The interpreter was not quite up to the job, to interpret from her native language Japanese to Norwegian, but one could sense Yoko Saito's passion, and I am so happy to attend Yoko's class tomorrow, in spite of  the poor interpretation.

Midnight - winding down with blogging and a glass of good red wine.

Life is good indeed!

  7. Hi My name is Annemieke from the Netherlands. This must be a great show! I like your NI quilt in red and whit very much. I think the use of colours in your photo's ( and maybe also your country) is very different from others. It feels really Scandinavian to me. A lot of light colours,a lot of blue, really beautifull. Liked reading your blog,
    groetjes
    Annemieke
