Progress + Christmas Mystery step 2

P1040144

I still have to join the last round of blocks before this quilt top is done, but now you can see how the pattern is, almost.
In my mind it is called Shipshewana Star.
I bought the kit in Shipshewana,IN, USA, April 2008.

Yes, I am planning another Shipshewana trip before long :-)
I can not have “old” kits around the house then, can I ?

The Christmas Mystery step 2 is coming along too.
2 stitcheries, 2 frames - I could not decide which one to do first ;-)

  5. the log cabin quilt is beautiful, love how you can take those same blocks, position them a different way and get a completly different quilt. I love the redwork you are working on, cannot wait to see it finished.

  6. Are you sure it was Illinois? We have a great quilt city here in Indiana that is Shipshewana...Yoders and Lollys are two of the many stores.
    Love the log cabin quilt.
