Outing an old Ufo - making a commitment

P1030501

This one, Butterfly Garden, has been on my to do list for ages, and I am so ready to get it done!

This is a BOM that I signed up for 3 years ago, but it took a long time from I got the first block until the last one arrived, with a lot of stumbling stones in the delivery, so I just lost my Urge and Drive.

The first block is done and block 2-7 are under construction, with all the small sections pieced but not stitched or appliquéd.

My goal is to finish the whole quilt, quilting and all, before the summer!

Go me !! :-)

  2. We bought it together and we will finish it together. I'm with you on this commitment.

  3. Make that another one here! I just found the motivation to start working on this quilt too. Had to raid my scrap bin to supplement a few missing strips, but we're on the way!!! I'm working on block 2 now.

  9. I'm in the same boat as well except my journey with this quilt only started in February this year. I've done the first block and had some disappointment with the fabrics chosen by the shop. I'm making it as a surprise for my daughter, so I really need to get busy to finish by Christmas. Maybe we should keep tabs on each other's progress as a group :0)

  10. Good on you! Peg and I decided at the start of this year to make big effort to do this quilt - Peg has done block 1 and I have all the blocks pieced but no applique or stitching done. I bought pattern only and have used Ava Rose fabrics. I'm not game enough yet to commit to having it finished by the next European summer but I will make a start.

Bare tre blokker "in progress", men sakte men sikkert...osv... ikke sant:o)
Ha en flott og kreativ uke,
