Angel Meeting
After unloading the car - food, sewing stuff and bags, we went to May Britt's local quilt shop, Lille Stasjon, as you know from an earlier post.
We had a great time there and when we returned to May Britt's we gathered around the veranda table for refreshments.
Anne Ida and Lise in deep concentration.
In the afternoon May Britt made a lovely meal with oven baked salmon, fresh pasta and salad.
Lise has finished all her blocks and is working on joining them.
We were working on our blocks for hours, chatting, laughing and enjoying snacks and wine.
We went to bed very late and we all got up early in the morning, to keep on working and enjoying each others great company.
Bjørg (no blog) was able to join us on Sunday.
She has all her blocks prepped and are working on the applique and stitchery.
All these angels are the work of the full group - a gorgeous view!
I am very much looking forward to see the group progress as we work along, and I think it is such a lovely thing that we will be meeting again :-)
A very nice visit
Blue Inspiration
We had a lovely time together!
First we had lunch outdoors in her garden and when it started to rain we moved indoors.
Marit's favourite colour is cobalt blue and the curtains in her living room was decorated with blue quilts in progress.
This softer blue quilt is for her first grandson who is just born.
On her mini design wall she was working on this lovely scrap quilt.
When I have caught up with other things I have to do, I will make blocks like this too, with 2,5" strips :-)
Thanks for a lovely day Marit :-)

Weekend progress
It really is time consuming to prep block, but I am a very happy camper, as now I am ready for the Angel Gang Get Together this upcoming weekend :-)
Hand work is so nice to bring to retreats.
My agenda for the upcoming week is very busy in the sewing department, not counting this project.
Now I will fold and put away the fabrics for this project and pull out the fabrics for the next one.
I am aiming for progress on it tomorrow :-)

Colour inspiration
Mid summer Christmas finish
Gifts galore

Hugs for you!
May you bring this one on many of your trips - Enjoy!
The drawstring bag is for the second kit I bought on my last trip to May Britt's. It is her design.
I know I will make more of these, from my own fabrics :-)
The last present is for Nancy, and I hope the postman delivers it at her house today !
Nancy is celebrating her 50th birthday today!
I am wishing you a lovely day Nancy!
Please drop by her blog and give her a happy comment shower, just for fun :-)

Tuesday angel
A Good Secret
This is one of my good secrets - a project that will be published in the autumn.
I have had a lovely time with good tools, embroidery floss and sharp needles today :-)
Today's gratitude - DH fixed my car so it can be used again tomorrow. I am not a car fixer, just a car user :-)

An Angel Weekend
Lise had prepared such a lovely table for us when we arrived, with cold beverages, coffee, tea, fresh baked buns and strawberries.
We enjoyed the sun outdoors as long as it lasted - chatting, laughing and stitching.
In the afternoon we got a heavy thunderstorm and lost electricity, but that did not stop us one minute.
Candles and the daylight from the windows had to do and we still stitched.
We inspected the Lise's sewing room too :-)
In the evening we had a wonderful meal with oven baked chicken, rice and salad and as you see, wine :-)
I am a beginner at the angel blocks. These are my first 3.
May Britt has been working on these block for a while. She has all her blocks prepped.
These are Anne Ida's blocks. They look very cool in blue and green :-)
Lise's blocks so far. She is soon finished too.
It is so much fun to see how different our blocks are in the different colourways!
We'll meet again in less than 2 weeks now. I am very much looking forward to see you angel girls again!!
