Same pattern as the Christmas shopping bag, new twist on the look :-)
I had the chance to try a photo to fabric by ironing transfer, and it was quite easy and looking very good. The transfer is store bought and the selection of motifs is good.
If you click on the photo for a closer look you will see a small embellishment on the front of the photo transfer.
Even if the transfer is kind of rubbery, it was quite easy to needle through with a sharp needle.
In the process my beloved Janome MC 6600 spit a small screw out, and after that, nothing worked right. Foot pressure was totally off, so today I took it to the shop for a repair and full service.
I have not been lazy with the services - I take it in once a year, but it is never convenient right before Christmas, or any other time for that matter.
I hope I get it back real soon!
In the mean time I am helped with my small Janome Platinum 760, which is a nice machine, but nothing to help me do the machine quilting on a quilt I have waiting here.
I am sure I will keep busy until the machine is back, even with altered plans.
The small machine is good for DJ blocks too :-)
