My thimbles

Nancy has a thimble challenge going, ending today.
She encourages us all to show our thimbles.

Here is my thimble collection - 138 thimbles from all over the world.
All from plain plastic to pure silver.
I have not travelled all over the world, but friends and family often bring me a thimble when they travel, as they all know about my collection :-)

These are my thimbles from my trip.
One from Iowa - thanks Karan :-)
The other 2 I bought at Niagara Falls, the Canadian side.
I thought I had one from Shipshewana from before, but I was wrong.
I have to go back and buy one sometimes in the future then :-)

  3. Great collection. Thimbles are so fun to collect and they do not take that much space.

  4. I collect thimbles, also. I have not found an appropriate piece where I can store them, yet. But I am still looking. I really like the way you have presented your collection. Thanks for sharing.

  6. Hello Hanne,

I found your blog through May's blog. You create lovely quilts. Love your redwork stitchery and your lovely town and city quilt. I also was very impressed with your thimble collections. I also have a old antique printer draw I display my weee collections of thimbles in too. Enjoy peeking into your blog. Hugs Judy in Western Michigan
