And now, the end is near.....

and soon it is the final countdown :-)

The block to the right has 229 pieces according to the book, and as you see, the block is only 6" finished.
The last block is under construction, by hand.
I have done nearly all the blocks by machine through this quilt, but these stars are small and easier to do by hand.

I had tomorrow, Thursday, as my personal deadline, but I see I have to push the deadline a day or two - Friday, hopefully!

In case you wonder - no, I am not tired of red and white, but I am so ready for other projects :-)

  5. Wow - what patience and dedication you've had to this quilt. It is beautiful and I'm wondering whether you'll feel sad once it's completed? Will you feel the need to take a break and reflect on it as something to move on from? And one more question - will you hand quilt it?

  21. Wow for et mesterverk Hanne! Du er helt utrolig. Denne må du få laget en scrapbook av hele historien med bilde av quilteren og teppet i maskinen over there.
