Step by step, stitch by stitch

One block for today and one block for yesterday - 11 more to go!

Oh - my mind is spinning with all kinds of other projects right now, but this quilt top _has_ to be in the mail before the weekend in 3 weeks. I have booked machine quilting for this quilt, so I just have to keep on keeping on.

The last 11 blocks are hard by the looks of it, so one stitch at a time - exercising self motivation on a high level here ;-)
I am so ready to start something else!

Now I have joined all the rows that are complete :-)

All the remaining 11 blocks are in the middle 4 rows.

Over the last week I have worked on the sashing a little every day, so from now I will be starting doing the zig zag border, a little every day, so when the blocks are done I should be about ready to join the top.

It is coming along beautifully, your persistence is paying off. One step at a time and it will be done before you know it.

All this an a pieced border, too? Wow!!! Are you going to continue one block per day? If so, less than two weeks to go! :-)

Hanne, the Nearly Insane quilt is looking absolutely stunning. I managed to buy the book from my local quilt shop, would never have picked it up from the colours on the front! Your red and white is just stunning. Not sure when/if I will make one as I have only really just begun my Dear jane journey but you have inspired me to think I may make it one day, thank you.

Spectacular blocks as well as what the quilt will be when you finish. It makes me want to finish a red and cream BOM I have.

Your NI quilt is gorgeous. I have just discovered the world of quilting blogs and yours is at the top of my daily check-ins. You are an inspiration. I love all the stitchery and have picked up my needle after years of neglect. Please keep posting all the beautiful examples to inspire your admirerers like me.

Just where IS the bottom of all these comments! My, my, you have a bunch of loyal followers! This quilt is drop dead gorgeous, and you deserve a medal for your stick-to-it-ive-ness. It kinda reminds me of the woven coverlets we used to see, just MUCH better.
