Taking inventory, setting priorities

This week I have been busy with taking fever / pain killers, drinking a lot and not move very much - pfffft on summer flu!
I have cleaned my hands and am coughing in another direction, so I hope you are not catching the virus too.
I am surfacing again - slowly, but still it is good progress compared to the other day.

Thursday afternoon, nearly like an early start on the weekend, adding good will :-)

Anyway, I need to pick some priority projects to work on. If not, I tend to do a thread here and a thread there, with no real progress, and with a wandering mind, wanting to start new projects all the time.

I have picked these 4 projects to work on through next weekend:
  1. Leanne's House BOM - can I finish block # 5 and get a good start on block # 6 ?
  2. Nearly Insane block - you are in the sunshine again my friends - time to get some more blocks done.
  3. My Sewing Angel stitchery - a gift from a dear friend when I was so sick this winter. I could not wrap my mind around even sorting the threads then, but kept it on my desk to look at. I will make this into a tote when it is done. How much can I do through next week ?
  4. My mouse stitchery - using crayons with the stitcheries, for class purposes. My plan is to make a little drawstring purse from this one.

My plan for the autumn is to work on no more than 4 projects at a time and to go back to fairly strict fabric diet.
I want to shrink my fabric collection - so far so good this year!

I am not one for resolutions but I can do my best !
Autumn / school start is as good a time to set priorities as New Year, maybe even better, as it does not give me a feeling of having left anything behind - just new chances and good feelings :-)

  9. 4 Projects at a time sounds good. I like to work on several at a time too - but if you have too many it's hard to decide what to pick up.

I like to have one being pieced, one being quilted, and one being bound and labeled!

    Feel better soon!

  15. You have made a good priority, so many nice projects. I like that expression: fabric diet...Have you seen I've started SBS project? I remember I asked you about NI some time ago, but as I'm reading Elm Creek I landed on these blocks. Today I've been at a local quilt exhibition, and there were several socalled scrap quilts, big carpets, and the were wonderful. That made me think of fabric diet...have a nice week-end!

  16. I hope you feel better soon, Hanne. Being sick is such a drag, but worse during the summer, I think.

There is so much you want to do - I know you have to be frustrated with being sick. Lots of cyber hugs coming your way with wishes for a quick recovery.

  18. De skapene fra Ikea var lekre Hanne - passer perfekt inn på mitt syrom når jeg skal pusse opp. Hva heter skapene? Får en forskjellige bredder? :-D
