A long trip

I have been away for some days, on a lovely trip to the north west coast of Norway. The occasion was celebrating my aunt's 60th anniversary combined with a family get together.

Travelling from here to there includes all kinds of nature - majestic mountains, strong rivers and deep fjords.
I took some photos through the car window with fairly good results.
Notice the summer flowers on the side of the road and the snow covered mountains.
The older I get, the more impressed I am with nature's show.
In this area is Trollveggen ( Troll's Wall) where mountain climbers come from all over the world to challenge nature. Trollveggen is Europe's tallest mountain wall. The road passed this wall and we always admire the view.

The ferry is part of the local road system and a lovely break.

DH and I stayed the weekend in a beautiful camping cabin, with all facilities. Even the weather was as ordered :-)
The wind from north was cold though and we wore jackets.

Our destination, Bud in Romsdal, is a fishing village. I have my family roots there and spent a lot of time there with my grandparents when I was a child and a teenager.
Over the years this fishing village has developed into a nice tourist place too. If you like fishing, biking, walking and great nature, you will never regret going there :-)

The view from the cabin:

This photo is taken by midnight looking out the Atlantic ocean.
