Saturday's stitches

First of all - I am so grateful for all the support I have received since my last post. I know you know how it can lift you up and help you through another mile - Thank you !
I hope I can be the bearer of good tidings on the matter before long.

Just 30 minutes ago I finished the XOXO / Heart quilt and it is in the washing machine as we speak, so the little quilt I am showing you I made last year.

It is a small quilt, 3" blocks, and we were 3 friends making it together, through mails, across continents. The blessing of the internet.
I use mine as a table topper now.

The pattern was a vintage doll quilt in 2 colours, squares in squares. Even if it was cute it did not make my heart sing, so I used EQ5 and recoloured it and as you see altered one block to add interest to the design.

My little quilt is called Wild berries with vanilla cream. The brown batik star is a touch of chocolate and the red in the middle of the brown star is the cherry topping. The red batik is raspberry red and I love to mix wild raspberries with blueberries - a true taste of late summer :-)

It looks yummy, Hanne! You keep on plugging.

Sorry to hear about the continued health problems and the uncooperative doctor's offices. Aggravating as tar. I hope that the letter you write will at least point out that they cannot jerk people around like that and not expect to be called on it.

The changes you made to the quilt take it from OK to Wonderful.

  7. Sending lots of prayers your way for resolution to your health problems. What you've been going through is certainly not the way life is meant to be. I love the changes you made to this little quilt - as Bonnie said they made all the difference. I took a class years ago from a gal who said every quilt needs a few maverick blocks to make it sing. I'm a true believer in that.
