Oh colourful hearts -

- you brighten my sewing table and give me a challenge - I am having fun :-)

I gave in and purchased the Buggy Barn Heart Crazies, after seeing it on Mel's blog.
It has been in my mind for a long time and when I saw the pattern in a Norwegian online shop last week, and I had a Need fabric in my cart already it was sooo easy to push the buy button.....

Well - I need a new project like I need a hole in my head right now, so instead of starting a new project I adapted and simplified the heart to fit my ongoing letter quilt.

As you know, making a project without a pattern is like cocking soup on a nail - you add and add and the project changes.
This time I found it more convenient to cut the heart blocks with my 9,5" ruler and as the letter blocks are 8,5" I will add a narrow pink border to the letter blocks too, so they will fit size wise.
I plan to make a total of 5 XO blocks and 5 Love blocks and will sash the blocks with the light green.

I hope to finish this quilt before next weekend.

  2. The hearts is so cute. I guess it is a sort of stach and slash. You place several fabrics up on eachother and then cut and swap???
It is more fun to start a new project than working on an old one. Have a nice sewing weekend. My boyfriend is no visiting me this weekend and I will sew all wekkend :) Jippiiiiii
