Scraps galore

Self therapy subscription for scrappy days:
Sew from scraps, 3 times a day.
For extra scrappy days:
Do a sort & fling unusable scraps - at least a handful daily.
Alternative to the fling is to cut any strange size scrap piece to 2,5" square(s)
Duration: as long as it takes
***
As you see I am well into a new scrap project. This will be the first block of 12. I have done all the yellow units and have 4 orange / pink units. I am lacking 20 and that is my goal for today.
I will sash these blocks with black and use pink as corner stones.
As you might have sensed I have scraps on many levels right now, and I am self medication on sewing.
I need to do something fast, furious and simple and this project is good for scrap reducing too.
I used to love yellow and I have to much of it - to much.
The only way to organize an abundant stash is to use it !!
More later :-)

I think you are addicted!!! What a cheery block. Yellow is the one color I literally have zero of. I want to fill in the gaps and make a yellow quilt....
KEEP US POSTED....

P.S> what is the weather like your way?

Now that's a prescription I could easily take. What a lovely quilt this is going to be. You have me wanting to ditch work and go play with my strips!

Your prescription is "just what the doctor ordered Hanne. - at least I wish it was! Do you supposed I could convince my boss that I needed to take a few sick days so I could medicate myself your way? I only wish!

What you are doing with your scraps is so wonderful. I love the yellow and orange combination - perfect for a summer project in hot weather. The finished quilt will bring sunshine and warmth later on during cold winter days.

You are having as much fun with your scraps as I am!

Well, not really my idea of a fast project - those are some tiny scraps you are working with - LOL! It is lovely though and it sounds like you are feeling good about working on it!

Cheers!

Those are great quilt blocks. They remind me of Mumbo Gumbo by Pie in the Sky quilts. It is one of my favorite patterns ever.

That is a great block. Fabulous colors. I like the use of black to highlight the other colors.

I hope your therapy works and cures whatever ails you.

Makes me want to go quilt too!

I'm also short on yellows in my stash, but I have lots of blues and greens!

Now, that is a good prescription! Both for me and my stash, that is. I looked through my orphane blocks yesterday and found a few that can do with some therapy.
